Diving Safaris in South Africa / Mozambique

Exciting itineraries for scuba divers in South Africa - Adventure eco and shark diving, combined with wildlife and zulu culture. Includes Aliwal Shoal, Protea Banks, Zululand, Big 5 Wildlife game parks, Sodwana Bay and Mozambique. On our dive safaris, you can include shark diving with hammerhead sharks, ragged tooth sharks, zambezi or bull sharks, wreck diving and coral reefs in pristine locations. Regular sightings include dolphins, whales, sharks, rays, turtles and eels. We utilize four wheel drives for tours to Mozambique (including Ponto d'Ouro and Ponta Malongane), and a mix of four wheel drive and microbuses in KZN to Sodwana Bay, Tembe Elephant Park and Maputoland.

Please note :
Our guests will be accompanied by a diving instructor on all diving tours and safaris, who is also a Registered Tour Guide with extensive experience and knowledge of the region. You can therefore upgrade your diving qualifications by doing a courses whilst on tour. Ask for details.

All diving tours and safaris are on a Bed & Breakfast basis, with some other meals included. Where we have excluded meals, you are able to obtain meals according to your own budget.

All dive tours and safaris include the hire of cylinder and weightbelt. If you need full equipment hire, add an extra + RN/A per diving day on to the cost of the tour.

We are flexible with dates for the tours, but will be shortly introducing scheduled itineraries. In the meantime, contact us with your preferred dates and we will let you know if the tour you want is available.

Itineraries can be adjusted to suit your requirements and to be of your preferred duration. African Diving Tours and Safaris can be combined with other non-diving tours, or tailormade to your requirements and interests. Please browse www.amatikulu.com for ideas.

We recommend that malaria prophylaxis are taken on tours into Mozambique and the extreme north of KwaZulu-Natal (Maputoland). N.B. Larium, whilst being an effective deterrent, is not compatible with diving.

Visas for Mozambique can be obtained from the Mozambique Consulate in Durban. The address is 27th Floor, 320 West St, Durban. The phone number is 031 3040200. 24 Hour visas cost R N/A, and same day visas cost R N/A. You need a passport valid for at least 6 months and 3 id photographs.

Please remember, you have to wait a minimum of 12 hours (we recommend 24 hours) after diving before you can fly, so factor this delay in when making your holiday arrangements.

All prices shown on this page are valid until end of September 2005. We do, however, reserve the right to adjust prices if necessary, but will honour all tours which have been confirmed prior to an adjustment at the agreed rate.
