Aliwal Shoal Protea Banks Sodwana Bay Mozambique Diving Safari

Note : Divers must be of an advanced level to dive Protea Banks. Open Water Divers can use this tour to gain their PADI Advanced Qualification.

Day 1
Collection from Durban / Durban Airport at a convenient time to all. Visit to Natal Sharks Board, time permitting.
Overnight at Umkomaas at Bed & Breakfast or local hotel.

Day 2
Enjoy 2 dives on Aliwal Shoal.
Overnight at Local Hotel / Bed & Breakfast.

Day 3
Early morning departure for Protea Banks. Enjoy 2 dives on the Protea Banks reefs. Head for Zululand in the early afternoon, and overnight at a private lodge..
Includes : Breakfast & Dinner

Day 4
Spend the full day in game drives in the Hluhluwe Game Reserve. Overnight at Hilltop Camp (subject to availability) or at a private lodge.
Includes : Breakfast & Dinner

Day 5
After a morning game drive, leave for Tembe Elephant Park for a short game drive, and a lunch stop (lunch at Tembe R50.00pp). Arrive at the border post to Mozambique. (Visas Essential). Overnight at either Ponto Malongane or Ponto do Ouro.

Day 6
Enjoy 2 dives on the pristine reefs in Mozambique, and enjoy the remainder of the afternoon on the beach or at the social bar / restaurant. Overnight at either Ponto Malongane or Ponto do Ouro.

Day 7
Enjoy 1 dive before breakfast, before returning to South Africa. Head for Sodwana Bay on the coastal road passing Island Rock, Mabibi and Lake Sibaya. This road is one of the most scenic and rural roads in Southern Africa, and a 4x4 vehicle is essential. Arrive at Sodwana in the late afternoon, and overnight at Sodwana Bay.

Day 8
Enjoy 2 dives on the reefs off Sodwana Bay.
Return to Durban in the late afternoon.
Includes : Breakfast

Open Water Divers can also join this tour and do their advanced course whilst on the tour. The supplement charge will be R800.00 for the tuition and PIC. The student will be required to do some studying and complete knowledge reviews in their spare time on tour.
